Master the Rules, Master Your Stream!
To ensure a safe and enjoyable streaming experience for everyone, we’ve introduced a new Warning System for Creators. This system helps uphold our community guidelines by limiting the number of violations a Creator can accumulate within a set period.
What’s New?
Previously, violations were counted on a per-stream basis. Now, violations will also be tracked at the account level, meaning all Creators will have a limited violation allowance for their individual Tango account.
Each account has a limit of 10 violations within a rolling 7-day period, after which restrictions apply.
Violations include both warnings during a stream and stream shutdowns.
The current system, where a stream can be shut down after multiple warnings, remains unchanged.
How the New System Works
Violations now accumulate across all your streams instead of resetting with each stream. This means multiple warnings or shutdowns from different streams can quickly add up, affecting your ability to stream publicly.
How Violations Are Counted:
Warnings count as 1 violation each.
Stream shutdowns due to violations add an additional violation.
What Happens If You Violate Streaming Rules?
You’ll receive an in-stream chat warning, along with an alert sound.
Each warning adds 1 violation to your account.
Continued violations may lead to stream shutdowns, adding extra violations.
Reaching 10 violations in 7 days results in a gradual ban from public streaming for up to one week.
Tracking Violations Across Different Stream Types
Violations are tracked separately for Public, Premium, and Match streams.
A violation in one category won’t impact your ability to stream in another.
Example: How Violations Add Up
To better understand how violations accumulate, let’s look at an example:
Imagine you’re a streamer and you accidentally display something inappropriate, here’s how the system would respond:
First warning issued → You now have 1 violation on your account.
Second warning issued → Your total increases to 2 violations.
Stream shut down due to repeated violations → Your total increases to 3 violations.
At this point, you have used 3 out of your 10 violations for the week. If you continue accumulating violations and reach 10, you will be banned from broadcasting in that specific stream type (Public, Premium, or Match). However, you will still be able to stream in other categories that have not reached the violation cap.
What You Need to Remember:
You have a total of 10 violations per 7-day period per stream type.
Both warnings and stream shutdowns count toward your violation limit.
Violations are tracked separately for Public, Premium, and Match streams.
You’ll receive in-stream notifications and sound alerts when a violation occurs.
This new system is designed to provide clarity and reduce the risk of accidental bans while ensuring a safe and enjoyable streaming environment for everyone.
